Workspaces & teams
Share forms with colleagues in a team workspace.
Every account has a personal workspace. On the Teams plan you can also create team workspaces and invite people into them.
Creating a team
From the teams page, create a team and invite members by email address. An invitation carries a token sent to that address, so accepting it also confirms the address. An invited member does not need to confirm their email separately.
Roles
Two roles: owner and member. The owner created the team and is the account the team is billed against; members can work on the team’s forms.
Assigning a form to a team
A form can be moved into a team workspace from its settings. Once there it belongs to the workspace rather than to the person who made it.
Seats and billing
The Teams base price covers three people: the owner and two members. The fourth person and everyone after them is a seat, billed on the same subscription and prorated by Stripe when someone joins or leaves. Somebody who is a member of two of your teams counts as one seat. Being a member of someone else’s team costs that owner a seat, not you.
Quotas in a team
A team is its own pool for responses and file storage, measured against the team owner’s plan. A team owned by a Free account gets Free-plan allowances, not Teams ones.
What happens when people or teams go away
- A member leaves or is removed: the forms they created in the team stay with the team.
- A member’s account is deleted: their personal forms go with the account; forms they created inside someone else’s team stay with that workspace and pass to its owner.
- A team is deleted: its forms are not deleted. They revert to personal forms of whoever created them, and their storage moves to those accounts’ pools.
Each of these is spelled out in the confirmation dialog before it happens.
