Getting started

Welcome to Questionful

A quick tour of Questionful and what you can build with it.

Welcome to the Questionful documentation. These pages describe what the product does today, where something is still being built, the page says so.

What is Questionful?

Questionful is a form, survey, and quiz builder. You build a form by adding questions to a canvas, share it as a link or an embed, and read the responses in the app or export them.

Typical things people build with it:

  • Forms: enquiries, requests, applications, registrations.
  • Surveys: satisfaction scores, feedback, course evaluations.
  • Quizzes and assessments: questions with point values that are scored automatically on submission.

What makes it different

  • 19 question types. Beyond text and multiple choice: linear scales, rating grids, tick-box grids, range sliders, colour pickers, date and time, file uploads, budget allocators, priority matrices, image hotspots, sketch pads, audio answers, and a code editor.
  • Branching per answer choice. Split a form into sections and send each choice to whichever section follows from it.
  • Automatic scoring. Give questions points, mark the correct answers, and let Questionful grade each submission, with separate feedback for right and wrong answers that can include links and video.
  • AI form generation. On a paid plan, describe the form and get a working draft to edit.
  • Delivery that isn’t a spreadsheet. Push every response to Google Drive, Zapier, Make, or your own webhook endpoint.

Where to start

  1. Quickstart. Build and share a form in a few minutes.
  2. Building forms, the editor in detail.
  3. Conditional logic, branching between sections.
  4. Sharing & embedding, getting the form in front of people.
  5. Integrations, where responses can go.
