Why switch

Why teams pick Questionful over Microsoft Forms.

  • Branching on each answer choice rather than at section level.
  • 19 question types, including grids, budget allocators, priority matrices, sketch pads and audio answers.
  • Quiz feedback that carries an explanation, a link, or a video, not only text.
  • Webhooks, Zapier and Make directly on the form, with no Power Automate licence in the path.
  • Public-facing forms that respondents open without a Microsoft account, plus an embed and a standalone HTML export.

FAQ

Questionful vs Microsoft Forms: common questions.

Do respondents need an account?

Not with Questionful. You share a public link and anyone can answer. Only the person building the form needs an account.

Is Questionful an alternative to Microsoft Forms for quizzes?

Yes, and it goes further: points per question, automatic scoring on submit, control over when the mark is released, and per-answer feedback that can include a link or a video.

Is there a limit on responses per form?

No per-form limit. The only meter is the account: 100 responses a month on the free plan, unlimited on every paid plan. Nothing has to be archived to make room.

Can responses reach Excel or SharePoint?

Indirectly. Every response POSTs as JSON to Zapier, Make, or your own endpoint, and any of those can write to Excel Online or SharePoint. There is no native Microsoft 365 connector.

What does Microsoft Forms still do better?

It is included with Microsoft 365, respects tenant identity and sharing rules, and needs no extra procurement. For internal forms, that is a real advantage.

The verdict

Ready to do more with your forms?

Keep Microsoft Forms for internal polls inside the tenant. Use Questionful when the form is public-facing, needs real branching or scoring, or has to deliver responses somewhere Power Automate is not.
