Questionful vs Fillout
Depth in the question, not breadth in the directory.
Fillout is a capable, modern form builder with a long integration list and a generous free tier. It is a genuinely good product, and for a form that has to land in Airtable or a database it is well placed. Where it stops is the question itself: scoring is something you assemble from calculated fields, and the answer types are the standard set. Questionful goes the other way, treating the question as the interesting part.
Why teams pick Questionful over Fillout.
- Quiz scoring as a first-class feature: points per question, automatic marking on submit, and control over when the mark is released.
- Different feedback for right and wrong answers, carrying an explanation, a link, or a video.
- Specialist question types: budget allocator, priority matrix, image hotspot, sketch pad, audio answer, code editor.
- Unlimited responses on every paid plan from €19 a month.
- Export a plain form as standalone HTML and host it on your own domain.

Questionful vs Fillout: common questions.
Is Questionful a Fillout alternative?
For scored, branched, or assessment-shaped forms, yes: points and automatic marking are built in rather than assembled from calculated fields, and there are question types Fillout does not offer. For pure data-routing into databases, Fillout has the longer integration list.
How do the free plans compare?
Fillout's free tier is considerably more generous on response volume, and if a free plan is where you intend to stay it is the better deal. Questionful's free plan is unlimited forms with 100 responses a month, and every paid plan from €19 removes the cap entirely.
How does the billing work?
Monthly or yearly at the same feature set, in EUR, USD or GBP, net of VAT. There is a 14-day trial of a paid plan that needs no card, and cancellation is self-serve from the billing portal in your account.
Does Questionful have calculated fields?
No, and deliberately. Scoring is done with point values per question, which covers quizzes and screening without turning a form into a spreadsheet. There is no arithmetic across answers.
What does Fillout still do better?
A public API, many more native integrations, and a bigger free allowance. Questionful has no public API yet. It is on the roadmap.
Ready to do more with your forms?
Pick Fillout when the value is in where the data lands. Pick Questionful when the value is in what you asked and how it was scored.
