Response summaries
Per-question summaries and charts for a form's responses.
Each form has a summary view alongside its list of responses.
What it shows
- A per-question breakdown of how people answered.
- Charts for the question types that suit one: choice questions, scales, and grids.
- Counts and distributions rather than raw rows.
For open-ended questions, the summary lists the answers given; there is no automatic theme detection.
The responses list
Beside the summary is the full list of responses. From it you can open an individual response, search, and delete a response or clear the set.
Showing the summary to respondents
A form setting, “See summary charts after submitting”, publishes an aggregated summary that respondents can open once they have submitted. It is off by default, and anyone holding the form link can read it while it is on, so what it may reveal is deliberately narrow:
- Only closed-set answers are counted: multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, linear scale, range slider, date, time, colour picker, budget allocator, priority matrix, and the two grid types.
- Open text, uploads, drawings, audio and code answers are never published: they routinely carry names and addresses.
- Where a choice question allows an “other” value, a typed answer is only shown once at least three respondents typed exactly the same thing, so one person’s words are never published verbatim.
Turn it off and the public summary page returns a 403 immediately.
Account usage
Your account page carries two meters:
- Responses this month against your plan’s allowance. It turns amber at 80% and red once the limit is reached, and you are emailed at both points.
- File storage used against your plan’s allowance, with the same thresholds.
Only the Free plan has a monthly response cap. Storage applies to every plan that can collect uploads.
