Form Question Types
The question type is the part of form design that most tools under-serve. A text box and a radio button can capture almost anything badly; the right input captures it in a form you can actually count, sort, and act on.
Questionful ships nineteen types, including specialist ones most builders leave out: a budget allocator for splitting a fixed total, a priority matrix for ranking, an image hotspot for pointing at a diagram, a sketch pad, an audio answer, and a code editor.

Use grids for repeated scales
A rating grid puts several statements on one shared scale in a single screen: faster to answer than the same questions asked separately, and easier to compare.

Reach for a specialist type when it fits
A budget allocator forces the trade-off a "what matters most?" question lets people dodge. A priority matrix gets you a ranking instead of five things all marked "very important".

Multiple choice, checkboxes, and dropdown are the types that can route to another section, worth knowing before you design the flow.

How many question types does Questionful have?
Nineteen, from short answer and multiple choice through to grids, sliders, colour pickers, file uploads, and specialist types like the budget allocator, priority matrix, image hotspot, sketch pad, audio answer, and code editor.
What is a budget allocator?
A question that gives the respondent a fixed total to divide across several options. It forces a real trade-off, which a "rate each of these" question does not. Everything cannot be a priority when the total is capped.
Can respondents upload files?
Yes on paid plans, up to 25 MB per file, with 2 GB of storage on Standard and 5 GB on Teams. The free plan does not accept respondent uploads.
Which types can I branch on?
Multiple choice, checkboxes, and dropdown. If you need to branch on a rating, put a short choice question next to the scale and route on that.
